Unit2 I’m going to study computer science.

【课标解读】  

本节课的课型为听说课,要求学生通过听力对信息进行语言输入后,能达到用正确的词汇和句型来解决问题并完成语言输出和交流活动的目标。在学完本单元之后,学生将会正确运用be going to 结构进行问句及应答。  

【教材分析】  

本教材是鲁教版初二年级下册,本单元是本教材的第二单元,主要围绕谈论未来打算(Talk about future intentions这一话题展开,本节课是本单元的第一课时(1a-2d)。本部分是一个听说训练模块,1a-1c部分侧重职业及What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be句型的学习及训练。2a-2d在训练听说能力的同时,学习be going to 结构的特殊疑问句及应答。  

【教学目标分析】  

一、教学目标: 
1. 
语言知识目标:
1) 
能掌握以下单词:grow up, computer programmer, cook, doctor, engineer, violinist, driver, pilot, pianist, scientist, be sure about, make sure  
能掌握以下句型:
  ─What do you want to be when you grow up?  
    ─I want to be a basketball player.  
 ─How are you goi ng to do that? 
   ─I’m going to practice basketball every day.  
  Where are you going to work? 
  When are you going to start? 
  I’m not sure about that.  
2) 
能了解以下语法:
   
掌握一般将来时态的构成形式;  
3) 
用一般将来时态表达将要做的事情。

情感态度价值观目标:
 
每个人都有自己的梦想和对未来的打算,对于将来想要从事的职业也充满了憧憬。 人们以常谈论他们的设想,因此,应通过学习这单元的内容来激发学生们的学习主动性和学习兴趣,使他们更加有理想,并为实现自己的理想而不断努力。
二、教学重难点
1. 
教学重点:  

1) 学习一般将来时态的构成方式。
2) 
学习本课时出现的重点句型,通过在不同 情景下运用来熟练运用一般将来时态。

教学难点:
用一般将来时态表达自己未来的打算。
三、教学过程
. Lead-in 
1. Play a ideo. ask Ss to tell about differnet jobs in the video, then add other jobs they know.  

Such as teacher, nurse, doctor, basketball player, runner, actor, actress… 
2. Ask what kind of jobs do they like best, why.  

3. Ask what they want to be when they grow up in the future to elicit the new language.  

─ What do you want to be when you grow up?  
─ I want to be a basketball player.     

【设计意图】播放视频展示不同职业的工作,帮助学生归纳出以前所学过的一些职业的英语表达方式:引导学生们进行问答自己将来所喜欢的职业。
. Presentation
1.  Teach Ss some new words and phrases of jobs by showing some pictures
  computer programmer, cook, engineer, violinist, pianist, pilot, scientist.   

2. Recycle the pictures to help Ss memorize the new words.   

3. Ss talk about the picutures by using the target language.  

  A: What are you going to be when you grow up?  

  B: I’m going to be a…  

  A: How are you going to do that?  

  B: I’m going to …  

4. Tell Ss to rank them [ 1-12]. 1 is the most interesting, 12 is the least interesting  

【设计意图】谈论图片时要求学生说出全句,熟悉目标语言,为下面的听力扫清障碍。  

III. Listening 
1.
Ask Ss to listen to the tape and fill in the blanks.   

2. Ss check the answers in groups, then show the answers, find out how many Ss have got the right answers to see if Ss need to listen again.  

3. Ss read after the tape.  

4. Ask Ss to read the listening materials loudly and communicate with the Ss, using the information in the materials.   

 【设计意图】通过听力让学生对于本课的基本句型“be going to do”有了一个初步感知,并且让他们自己从听力材料中感知“How are you going to do that? I’m going to…”怎样为了自己的理想工作而努力。  

5  1c  The teacher makes a short conversation with a student to give Ss an example.then Ss ask and answer in pairs. Using the target language of this unit. Then ask some pairs to act out.  

A: What are you going to be when you grow up?  

  B: I’m going to be a…  

  A: How are you going to do that?  

  B: I’m going to …  

【设计意图】通过对话让学生更好的掌握所学的句型。  

6.  2a  Listen to  2a  2b, check the correct boxes in the picture ,listen again, and complete ChengHan’s plans for the future. Check the answers and ask Ss to say the complete sentences like he’s going to move to Shanghai.  

7. Read after the tape.  

【设计意图】通过这次听力练习帮助学生进一步更好地掌握句型。并通过点拨听前预测、听中抓关键词和听中速记等来提高学生的听力能力。  

7.  2c   Ask Ss to ask and answer in pairs. The teacher gives an example.  

A: What does ChengHan want to be?  

B: He wants to be…  

【设计意图】通过这一活动达成语言输出的目的,调动学生的学习积极性,希望一些成绩相对差一些的学生也能够很好的参与到活动中来。  

IV. 2d Role-play 
1.  Read the conversations and answer the two questions:   

1). What does Ken want to be?     

 2). How is he going to do that?     

3). What does Andy want to be?     

 2. Ckeck the answers in groups.  

 Let Ss r ead after the tape.
3. Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.   

【设计意图】不仅锻炼学生的口语,同时对本节课的知识点和重点句型得到了进一步巩固,为下一环节学生用中学英语的新生成打好基础。

VI. Homework  

A: Write what you want to be when you grow up and how you are going to do that.  

B: Write a report about what the classmates in your goup want to be in the future and how they are going to do that.
